FUNDRAISING: Landmark Properties raises $300 million sponsor fund. Landmark Properties has closed its Landmark Sponsor Fund at $300 million, surpassing its original $200 million target. Wes Rogers, chairman and CEO of Landmark Properties, said the fund strengthens the company’s ability to move quickly on student housing opportunities and reinforces confidence in Landmark’s vertically integrated development platform.

DEVELOPMENT: Hoar Construction and Park7 break ground on $100 million project. Developer Park7 Group and general contractor Hoar Construction have broken ground on a $100 million student housing project in Tallahassee that will deliver 804 beds in fall 2028. The nine-story development will offer one- to five-bedroom units and include amenities such as a club room, study lounges, rooftop deck, fitness center with yoga studio, and underground parking with bike and scooter storage.

DEVELOPMENT: Georgia Tech moves forward with $31 million land acquisiton. Georgia Tech is finalizing a $31 million deal to buy land on North Avenue from Coca-Cola as part of its Midtown Atlanta campus expansion. The acquisition is expected to support the university’s broader innovation district plans and strengthen its presence in Midtown. The site will be used to further develop Georgia Tech’s campus footprint and advance long-term growth in the area.

DEVELOPMENT: Core Spaces advances 1,303-bed student housing project. Construction continues on a major new student housing development near downtown Clemson, with visible progress now underway on both the building structure and parking garage since work began last year. Core Spaces said the community will include a mix of studio to five-bedroom apartments as well as three-story townhomes, while Juneau Construction Company said it is expected to become a leading off-campus housing option in the market.
