DEVELOPMENT: Palladius Capital unveils exterior renovation at Texas property. Palladius Capital Management has completed an exterior renovation at The Oasis at San Antonio, a student housing community serving the University of Texas at San Antonio. Key improvements include:

  • Full exterior repaint for a fresh, modern look

  • New pickleball court, replacing the previous volleyball setup

  • Custom shade sail columns for added comfort and style

  • Dedicated reading and study nook to promote focus and relaxation

DEVELOPMENT: Core Spaces secures Certificate of Occupancy for Hub Knoxville. Hub Knoxville has officially received its Certificate of Occupancy—signaling completion of Phase 1 and marking a new chapter for student living at the University of Tennessee. Developed by Core Spaces, the full city-block project delivers nearly 2,000 beds across three towers According to Core Spaces, Phase 1 pre-leasing surpassed expectations, and now, with occupancy approved, the countdown is on to welcome the first wave of students this fall.

DEVELOPMENT: UNC launches decade-long housing overhaul. The University of North Carolina has unveiled a multi-phase Housing Master Plan designed to modernize and expand student housing over the next decade—starting with a new 700-bed residence hall on North Campus, set to open in 2028. Dubbed Residence Hall 1, this project is only the first step in a sweeping strategy to deliver 2,000 new on-campus beds, 1,000 new off-campus undergraduate units, and 450 off-campus graduate beds. It’s part of UNC’s broader effort to address aging infrastructure, growing enrollment, and ongoing renovation needs.

PEOPLE MOVES: Tailwind Group appoints new VP of Leasing and Marketing. Tailwind Group has announced the hiring of Kadi Mancuso as Vice President of Leasing and Marketing, strengthening the firm’s leadership as it scales operations across its real estate portfolio. In her new role at the Mankato, Minnesota-based firm, she will oversee all leasing and marketing functions — including lead generation, lead-to-lease conversion, brand growth, customer acquisition, and marketing analytics — with a focus on performance-driven strategy. “I’m thrilled to welcome Kadi to the Tailwind leadership team,” said Casey Petersen, Chief Operating Officer. “Leasing and marketing are so incredibly important in our business, and as we continue to scale up our platform for more growth, bringing someone with Kadi’s experience and leadership approach was critical. We’re so excited for what is to come.”
