ACQUISITION: Coastal Ridge acquires Minneapolis asset for $27.1 million. American Campus Communities has sold University Commons, a 164-unit student housing property near the University of Minnesota, to Coastal Ridge Real Estate for $27.1 million.

DISPOSITION: CBRE arranges sale of 436 beds. CBRE has arranged the sale of Red Cedar Flats, a 436-bed student housing propertu in East Lansing, Michigan. CBRE’s Jaclyn Fitts, Casey Schaefer, William Vonderfecht, Jack Johns, Hank Carpenter and Maria Pas arranged the sale.

FINANCING: Walker & Dunlop arranges $71.5 million acquisition loan. Walker & Dunlop Capital Markets arranged a $71.5 million loan to finance the acquisition of Current Midtown Apartments, a 245-unit, 637-bed Class A student housing community in Williamsburg, Virginia. Greg Krafcik led the team in securing Freddie Mac financing on behalf of North Beacon Capital. Built in 2021, the property is the only purpose-built student housing community serving the College of William & Mary and is located adjacent to campus in one of the university’s most walkable, amenity-rich areas.

FINANCING: Northmarq arranges financing for 175-bed asset. Northmarq has arranged a financing package for Nest on Sunset, a 175-bed asset in Houston, Texas. Northmarq’s Warren Hitchcock and Taylor Phillips arranged the financing.
