NEWS ROUNDUP

M&A: Lincoln Property Company acquires Capstone Development Partners. Lincoln Property Company has acquired Capstone Development Partners and Capstone Management Partners. The acquisition is intended to expand Capstone’s national reach in higher education housing while giving it access to additional resources. Leadership will remain in place, with Jeff Jones and Bruce McKee staying in their roles and William Davis becoming managing principal.

DISPOSITION: CBRE arranges sale of two properties. CBRE has arranged the sale of The Towers on State & The Statesider, two properties serving the University of Wisconsin. CBRE’s Jaclyn Fitts, Casey Schaefer, Carson Ford, Victoria Langston, William Vonderfecht, Robert Schwartz and Brad Peters handled the sale.

DISPOSITION: Vesper affiliate buys property for over $25 million. The Nine, a student-oriented apartment complex near the University of Louisville, has been sold for more than $25 million to Vesper Louisville Nine. The seller was New York City-based The Nine Propco. Records link the buyer to CLS Living, a student housing property management firm based in Austin and a subsidiary of Vesper Holdings, with Vesper Holdings president Brian Bobek listed as the registered agent.

DEVELOPMENT: Core Spaces advances 1,195-bed project. Core Spaces has reached a new construction milestone on Hub Tampa Fowler, a 1,195-bed student housing community located just west of the University of South Florida campus. The project will include 396 units with layouts ranging from studios to five-bedroom apartments and is expected to be the first new student housing community delivered in the area since 2024.
