ACQUISITION: WISE buys 48-unit asset for $21.8 million. Washington International Service Executives (WISE) acquired 220 Madison, a 48-unit furnished student housing property near the University of Tampa, for $21.8 million (~$454,166 per unit). Daniel Langberg, managing director and principal broker at WISE, said the purchase fits a broader strategy to expand WISE’s student housing portfolio.

DEVELOPMENT: Aspen Square sells University of Missouri apartments. Aspen Square Management has sold The Row Apartments, a 328-unit student housing community in Columbia, Missouri, serving the University of Missouri. Monument Square Investment Group acquired the asset. The deal was led by Peter Katz (IPA Executive Director) and David Saverin (Marcus & Millichap Senior Director).

DISPOSITION: JLL brokers sale of 748-bed Texas asset. JLL has negotiated the sale of Arba San Marcos, a 748-bed student housing community near Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. Built in 2014, the property totals 240 units with two-, three- and four-bedroom floor plans and bed-to-bath parity. JLL represented the seller, Palatine Capital Partners (offices in Miami, New York City, and Los Angeles). The buyer was Centurion Property Group, a Miami-based investment firm.

DEVELOPMENT: Core Spaces tops out 1,700-bed complex. Core Spaces has topped out Hub Chauncey, a 1,700-bed student housing development near Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. The development team includes Kayne Anderson, Power Construction, Antunovich Associates, and Cullen Construction Management.
