DISPOSITION: Fayetteville complex sells for $60 million. Pork Chop Properties KP7 has acquired The Cardinal at West Center, a 471-bed, 150-unit student housing complex near the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, for $59.68 million—equating to $126,709 per bed. The five-story, 218,037 SF property was sold by West Center Partners, linked to Capstone Development Partners’ chairman emeritus Michael A. Mouron.

DEVELOPMENT: Landmark Properties secures approval for 621-bed project. Landmark Properties has received county board approval to develop a five-story, 621-bed purpose-built student housing complex in unincorporated Cobb County, Georgia.

DEVELOPMENT: Student housing boom near Ohio State to add 3,000+ beds. Student housing development around Ohio State University is accelerating, with over 900 new off-campus beds delivered this fall and more coming as two high-rise multifamily projects move toward final approvals. In total, over 3,000 new bedrooms are in the pipeline near OSU's main Columbus campus, which enrolls 61,326 students—75% of whom must live off campus due to limited dorm space.

PEOPLE MOVES: Core Spaces names new Managing Director. Core Spaces has appointed Juan Sebastian Agudelo as Managing Director of Institutional Capital Raising to lead engagement with global institutional investors. Core CIO John Wieker said Agudelo’s capital markets expertise will be key to the firm’s growth.
